update chromium on Gentoo

On Gentoo, update Chromium by syncing Portage and emerging the package:

sudo emerge --sync

emerge -pv www-client/chromium

sudo emerge -av www-client/chromium

If there are dependency updates pending first, update the entire system:

sudo emerge --ask --verbose --update --deep --newuse @world

Then rebuild Chromium if needed:

sudo emerge -av www-client/chromium

After installation, verify the version:

chromium --version

If you run into dependency conflicts or build errors, post the complete output of:

emerge -pv www-client/chromium

emerge -av www-client/chromium
