install herdr Gentoo

Herdr is not currently available in the official Gentoo Portage tree. The recommended installation on Gentoo is to use the project's installer or manually install the binary.

Option 1 (Recommended)

curl -fsSL https://herdr.dev/install.sh | sh

This installs the latest stable release into your user account and adds it to your PATH if needed.

Restart your shell, then verify:

herdr --version

Launch it:

herdr

Option 2 (Manual Binary)

Download the latest Linux x86_64 binary and install it yourself:

mkdir -p ~/.local/bin
cd /tmp

wget https://github.com/ogulcancelik/herdr/releases/latest/download/herdr-linux-x86_64

chmod +x herdr-linux-x86_64
mv herdr-linux-x86_64 ~/.local/bin/herdr

Verify:

~/.local/bin/herdr --version

If ~/.local/bin is not already on your PATH, add it:

echo 'export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"' >> ~/.bashrc
source ~/.bashrc

Update

For installations made with the installer:

herdr update

Or switch to preview builds:

herdr channel set preview

Return to stable:

herdr channel set stable

OpenCode Integration

Since you're using OpenCode locally, install its Herdr integration after Herdr is running:

herdr integration install opencode

Then check integration status:

herdr integration status

Herdr will recognize OpenCode sessions and display their status (working, blocked, done) in its interface.
