Herdr is not currently available in the official Gentoo Portage tree. The recommended installation on Gentoo is to use the project's installer or manually install the binary.
Option 1 (Recommended)
This installs the latest stable release into your user account and adds it to your PATH if needed.
Restart your shell, then verify:

Option 2 (Manual Binary)
Download the latest Linux x86_64 binary and install it yourself:

If ~/.local/bin is not already on your PATH, add it:

OpenCode Integration
Since you're using OpenCode locally, install its Herdr integration after Herdr is running:
Then check integration status:
Herdr will recognize OpenCode sessions and display their status (working, blocked, done) in its interface.
