Gemini Notebook (formerly NotebookLM) is a web application, not a native Linux desktop application. There is nothing to install from the Gentoo repositories. Google recently renamed NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook, but it remains browser-based.
Option 1 (Recommended): Use it in your browser

Option 2: Install it as a Progressive Web App (PWA)
In Google Chrome or Chromium:

Open Gemini Notebook.

Click ⋮ → Save and Share → Install Gemini Notebook (or click the install icon in the address bar).

This creates a desktop application that:

The PWA installation feature works best in Chromium-based browsers.
Since you're running Gentoo with the Budgie desktop, I recommend installing it as a PWA. It behaves almost exactly like a native Linux application while always staying up to date with Google's latest Gemini Notebook features.
